The Myste-Hass Calender

11/01/2024

Kishaan tries to aid Geoffrey up, but he pulls away and tells the dragonborn to assist people in the town.
Father Howell and Kishaan help the injured townsfolk, the group spending at least several hours dealing with those in need and the fires in town.
A militia guard, Gilsed, comes to the group and asks them to attend the Halls before the day is out, but after the group is rested.
In the early afternoon, the group have to stop.
Crassus heads back to the ship, asking Gleeson, Mutina and the other crewman, Johnny, to testify. He then collars a nearby militia man to witness Crassus locate object on the missing log book, ensuring they proceed within the letter of the law.
Just as Crassus hit the most eastern part of the Western Docks, near the dividing wall he gets a ping in a easterly direction. The spell leads to the northern end of the Market Square, towards the militita building.
Cao pops back home, feeding the cat and seeing that there are a few people in the training ground, gossiping about what would ahve happened if they were on the wall.
Sylleth heads back to the scorched remains of his home, followed by Nazzak. They have a conversation about how Sylleth was compelled to do bad things, which Nazzak compares to his tribe.
Kishaan and Father Howell head to speak with Yanif. They have replaced his hand at the Temple of Imogen. Kishaan comments on Engaro's accent in front of Yanif.
Yanif is looking for a manticore tongue - he'll pay 300gp for it.
They then return to the Temple of Imogen. Father Howell baths, then adorns a fresh robe. Kishaan apologises for calling Engaro the wrong name.
At dusk, the group meet at the Halls. An helvettian clerk, who is obviously new to his job, leads the group to the council. He takes the group down a coridoor that looks to lead to an extension.
The Council of Myste-Hass are gathered in here, along with a large number of townsfolk of mixed race. Geoffrey says that this is a meeting to discern what has occured, and Sten argues that this is unecessary.
Geoffrey claims that the group assited, and prevent must death.
Goraz says its inappropriate for Geoffrey to lead the questioning, so he and Borrow comment instead.
Goraz likes the fact the ankhegs with necrotic energy were killed.
Dooraz argues that Goraz wants to just let people off, people who recklessly wield power at their own behest.
Sten acts as a champion to the adventurers and the militia. He beleives that the laws must be stone within the walls, but outside they must be free to deal with threats freely.
Geoffrey says that this group should be offered a commondation. He claims that his brother has risen above him, then hands in his resignation.
Everyone is asked to leave, and everyone except a blond-haired man leaves. He is good looking with drawn features, pale with just a touch of colour. There is a slight curl to his hair, wearing a robe and he is clean shaven. HIs name is later discovered to be Hadrial.
Borrow claims that this is a dignitry who we have to sit in.
Sten says he has concerns which the group should keep quiet about. He claims that the ruins to the north is to be renamed. His concerns are more immediate - fatists. He mentions that there was a secret sacrificial pool of blood, in a fatists house.
Sten is then informed that large quantities of blood in barrels have been imported and then lost wihtin the city.
Father Howell mentions that the group ahve actually seen Fate, but Crassus misunderstands and admits that Gilas had to be aprehended by Fate. Then, Father Howell mentions that they saw Fate in person in the north, near Bruidor.
Kishaan brings up that the barrels of blood were found in Crassus's warehouse, then Crassus claims Kishaan broke into his property and there was a murder.
Sten says that they will dismiss the meeting for today and reconvene the trial the next day, in hopes that a zone of truth can be cast upon Kishaan and clear up the issue.
Cao tries to reinforce the issue of how strong the orcs are that will pose a threat to the town.
Goraz says he sent a scouting group to the iron mine and found it cleared out.
The idea of an army is proposed. These people will be paid. He claims that recruits may be needed from elsewhere.
Nazzak suggests his tribe would be a great addition to the army, or infilitrate the orc groups.
The fact that the Helvettian's are absent is mentioned by Sten.
Cao proposes using the prisoners as gladiators. He even suggests they could deal with the fatists.
The group must put a proposition together for the following day.
The adventurers go to the Hung Goat. The meal is paid for the group.
Crassus goes to the Temple of Alaie and is beset by Bedanore again. Bedanore says that there is someone who wishes to unseat him, and replace him - then fill the temple.
Father Howell suggests setting up a places where the townsfolk can evacuate too, possibly beneath the city.
Father Howell, Nazzak and Sylleth head back to the Temple of Imogen to rest. Kishaan goes back to the Temple of Sardonyx. Cao goes back to the Sword School. Crassus returns to the boat.
Morning arrives. Father Howell bakes a collection of Hot Chaiste Buns, then goes for a run to locate Geoffrey unsucceffuly. At his house a nosy neighbour says she hasn't seen him today, but mentions the Geoff is often seen coming and going with a dwarven women.

On his travels, Father Howell goes to the militita barraks. The man he's speaking to laughs when Howell tells him he is a honoury militia guard. The man had dark hair at the front, balding at the back, with a distinctive nose. The group

Sylleth researches arcane uses of large quantites of blood, finding little than fading memories of what was in the arcane book.
Crassus asks Gleeson to testify whatever his concious says. Pelis says he has been having bad dreams. Crassus leaves Pelis in charge and tells him to get the lads to clean up The Crab Shack.
Crassus takes Sylleth to The Crab Shack to look at the barrels of blood. It's magically enchanted. He identifies that there is more than twenty people's woth of blood, with arcane influence of necromancy and conjuration.
Cao digs up some gold from his sandpit, then purchases bows, arrows and swords, then gets a leather combat dummy made. He then goes in search of healing potions. He heads to Tinches and Tonics - the owener being Hamwell.
The windows are bared on the outside of the nice, three-story window. It's three doors down from the Temple of Fate.
They offer Cao some performance-enhancing lotions which increase fighting abilities. Healing potions are 90gp each. They are extrememly fancy bottles.
Kishaan prays for guidance from Sardonyx. A womans voice is heard - accompanied by another as well in the distant background.
"Follower, you so casually throw your voice out. Are you even loyal? Be cautious Kishaan, you are marked. They will be coming for you."

Only Sten, Borrow and Hadrial, dressed in the long, grey robes of a priest, are the only ones present.

Father Howell casts zone of truth, which both Kishaan and Nazzak fall under the effects of.
Sten determines - Kishaan was employed by Raziel. He saw an advert, where Crook entered and interceded with a story of being cheated. They were asked to make Crassus disappear for a while. Kishaan went to the warehouse with Garret. There were other people there who had been at Raziel's house - a halfling, a shapechanger of sorts. They enetered the warehouse, even though they knew it was the property of someone else. The halfling opened the door, whilst Kishaan was performing. Inside the warehouse, there were lots of barrels. The halfling and gnome said they had previously entered, through disturbed boards on the wall. The gnome was ripped apart by a lifeforce that sucked life force out of everyone. This creature came from the vats.
Trespassing is confirmed, but Crassus pushes for breaking and entrance to remain.
Sten says they have now got the ledger.
Sten asks Crassus about how he came into the possession of The Crab Shack, and Crook's debt with a man called Felgate.
Crassus had crew members working on the Raven's View, a fishing vessel that was also inherited in the gambling.
Mutina and Johnny say that the group forced their way into the building. Gleeson claims that his captain is such an honest man, he should be a priest.
Sten has him on trespass and willful disregard towards the proceedings, he shows lenancy because of his recent assitnace with attacks on the city.
A mark is put on Kishaan's record. If he commits one crime, he will be sent straight to the gallows.
Sten shares that the ledger indicates these barrels were a set of thiry, shipped from Tren Purdol, a fortress on the coast of Brindle. The reciever is not recorded in the ledger.
Father Howell proposes his training program. Crassus proposes dredging the estury to gain more ships.
Sven thanks the group and promises to consider the topics discussed.
Sylleth brings up the elven kin beyond the wall, which Sten mention as always being insular and difficult. Their own interest is paramount, unless that can be changed no alliance will work with them.
Sven would accept their help, their alliance, but not their rulership.
The blond-haired figure at the back speaks up - "I am here on a matter of diplomacy. I am a representative of another plane. It has come to our attention that a number of the populace of this area are willifully making deals and trading souls. It is my command to monitor this situation, and palced at the disposal of your council. My masters have made it clear - there are to be no bartering with souls. This may not relate to any of you personally, but its become such an issue I have been sent.
Sven says that trading souls with fiends with be punishable by death. He needs us adventurers to back him.
Kishaan claims he was tricked, saying he had his soul stolen by a fey - Jack Tear. He was associated with a dragon.
Hadrial says - "Souless, you are nothing."
Hadrial says he is not comfortable sharing, but his master is divine. He is then very threatening to Cao. Cao rejects this offer of divine intervention, and Hadrial notes it in a menancing manner.
You are doomed if Jack Tear has spent your soul. I would find him and fast. He then says - "I would ask questions of you though, Kishaan. You are tethered. Your powers are granted."
Sten goes to guide us out to the dias, then Father Howell asks Sylleth to cast dispel magic on him.
A bell is rung. Sten makes an annoucement about the dangerous new world. He commends those that have stood up to invaders and threats, those that came back to retake the city. He commends the adventureres, along with Geoffrey Howell and the militia, for rising to defend the city against the chaos. He calls the group as heroes and asks them to make their plans as steel to defend the town in the future.
Myste-Hass will reach out to Angel's Reach, Bruidor and the mainland for more soldiers.
