Physical Description

Standing at roughly 5 feet 10 inches, Sylleth is unremarkable in terms of height, blending in well with others of his kind, his pale elven complexion is also consistent with other high born elves. His forest green eyes pay homage to his wood elf racial cousins, his dark brown almost black hair while long and flowing is often kept tightly in place with a intricate braided ponytail. Unlike some of his arcane peers, Sylleth prefers to wear somewhat form fitting robes over the more open billowing robes more commonly seen, which allow for an increased range of movement when required however they are still elegant in design.

Overall his appearance is neutral and unassuming, carrying no visible weapons nor wearing any armour though a staple item that is never far from him is well made leather satchel that often bulges with tomes of knowledge, research notes and other oddities.

History

The life of Sylleth began in the region of Nadarr, he lived and worked with his fellow elves for a number of years, quickly becoming fascinated with the secrets of the arcane, spending hours, days, months and even years attempting to learn all he could. During all this study, he found that he not only understood what he was learning but could put it in to practice, granted most of what he could produce was mere parlour tricks compared to what he read about in numerous tomes.

During the pursuit of this arcane knowledge he eventually travelled to Kahzara, most notably the Great Library of Kahzara in which he found a great deal of knowledge to advance his studies. Many schools of the arcane were of interest, divination could lead to a greater number of secrets being unlocked, evocation was also appealing for its obvious mastery of elements. Transmutation could perhaps lead to riches beyond imagination through careful use, however one school always seemed to draw Sylleth's attention. The darker school of necromancy had a unique draw to it, perhaps containing the greatest secrets of all, what is on the other side, what happens when a being is bereft of life but yet clings to the world through sheer power alone.

Sylleth spent many years learning all he could about the necromantic arts, making it a secret speciality of his often favouring to tell others that he was focusing on evocation instead in somewhat fear he would be shunned for his dark choice.

The years and decades past by without much issue as what problem does a high born elf have with, 1,2, or even 5 decades.

Sylleth led a content life, spending hours buried in books and enjoying a relaxed lifestyle, this was until roughly 11 decades of his life had passed by, a drop in the great ocean of his likely long lifespan when his life was suddenly changed for the better. He met a young human woman by the name of Kira Ambercrest, a beautiful and peaceful soul. Miss Ambercrest could not be further from Sylleth in terms of personality, she was young and free spirited, favouring the musical arts complete with a siren like singing voice. Sylleth quickly became enamoured with Miss Ambercrest and begun courting her, despite the stark differences in personality Sylleth's affections were returned in kind by the young Miss Ambercrest, a relationship blossomed. Sylleth spending his days researching the dark arts and then having his spirits lifted by the love of his life. Eventually leading to a proposal of marriage from the scholarly elf which was accepted, and from that day Miss Ambercrest became Mrs Kira Amatheldir.

The pair of them led a long and happy life together, a fine balance was struck by the light of Kira's life and the dark secrets of Sylleth's research, though the passage of time was not so kind to Kira as it was to Sylleth, her inevitable human lifespan began to creep up on her and claimed her life at around 60 something years old.

Wracked with grief Sylleth through himself into the abyss of his work, becoming fixated, obsessed even with the secrets of necromancy, as time passed he vowed to find a way to bring his beloved wife back to him, taking the bones of his wife, carefully wrapping them in a protective shroud and always keeping them close by, promising to himself that he would not rest until he found a way to bring her back, no matter the cost.....
