Father Howell struggles to sleep and then gets up early, and goes for a successful run to the docks.

Sylleth awakes feeling very relaxed and refreshed after reading his book in the dome overnight. He heads to the market square to begin notating spell scrolls.

Zelphar awakes in the ocean, after disturbed meditation beneath the water. His night disturbed by visions of a fish-like creature with a gigantic, yellow-greenish body with teeth as long as a human arm. He awakes to see movement ahead and spawns a tentacle to block a creature approaching. He awakes again, there is movement ahead. Caught in this cycle, Zelphar turns and swims for the shore. A golden-green hand slams into Zelphar. He runs, but the creature attacks again, killing him. He awakes again. The cycle continues, until eventually he manages to misty step to the shore. He opens his eyes and he is sitting on the docks, but he is exhausted.

Father Howell meets Zelphar at the dock side. He leads the disturbed man back to the Temple of Imogen, for a wash and breakfast.

Cao heads to The Arena, reliving his memories of his fight with The Deacon and his fight with Morthel. He turns away and returns to the centre of town, looking briefly at The Oracle's home, where the doors are closed.

Word reaches Berticus about the massacre in the Temple of Garr. He returns to the church. There are a number of militia guards, the lead figure, Geoffrey, stops Berticus to explain the situation, describing Heller raising the militia guards he killed. Geoffrey is keeping the building locked down until the situation is sorted, but Berticus asks if he can be part of the investigation. Geoffrey instructs Berticus to seek Father Howell at the Temple of Imogen for more information. He also asks that information that the paladin finds out is relayed to Geoffrey for council information.

Father Howell explains everything with Revios, Garr, Heller and the gates to Berticus.

The group gathers to discuss issues with Sylleth.

Nazzak goes out to speak with Sylleth and asks him to join the group for breakfast. Cao and Zelphar follow up, to check how the conversation has gone.

Sylleth is convinced to come and join the others for breakfast, but its actually an important conversation.

Berticus uses divine sense on Sylleth and it flickers between normal and undeath. Hurricane brings over a mirror, but everyone only sees a more refined version of Sylleth in the mirror.

Sylleth threatens to burn the Temple of Imogen if damage comes to her remains.

A voice comes from Sylleth, though the man is not speaking. The voice identifies as Sylleth, claiming that everything is going ahead as part of the plan. The voice says that we have come to an arrangement - they are moving towards bringing back Kira in a safe and responsible way.

Nazzak cracks the mirror, worried that was causing the voice. The voices ceases.

Berticus reiterates points that [[Father Howell] has mentioned, but Berticus mentions that Kira would return to her elderly state of being.

Nazzak peeks in on the teleportation circle, he collects a broom and then speaks with Imogen.

Father Howell prepares to cast Speak with Dead. He asks -

• What are your views on bringing someone back to life through necromancy? The response is "do it".
• Would you be happy to trade another life for your own? "Lives end and lives begin".
• Do you condone murder? "What is murder anyway".
• Would you allow Sylleth to kill someone to save your life. Til's voices - save me.
• Who are you? "You are meddling with death and I welcome the idea. You want this women. You want this Til. Ask it. I am enjoying him. So many souls come my way, they are weak compared to him. I am not a selfish hoarder. I'd make a deal for any soul."

Sylleth, you've got the power - save me. The skull rolls towards Sylleth and he catches it.

The voices answers - "Priests are meddling. Times are changing and I tell everyone of you, things are going to be different now. You wont have to bow and scrape - you can just ask."

Berticus attacks Sylleth, combat arises. Nazzak grabs Sylleth, and then the wizard turns invisible. Father Howell tries to save Kira's remains, but Berticus steals her skull.

Berticus attacks Zelphar for using his tentacle on him, knocking him unconscious. Nazzak runs at Berticus, grappling him. Cao grapples Nazzak.

Father Howell heals Zelphar.

Cao sees Sylleth and grapples him, encouraging him to drop invisibility. Berticus runs in. Hurricane runs in, calling the storm.

Berticus takes Sylleth down as the wizard runs.

Father Howell runs in and casts spare the dying on Berticus, then the paladin gives the skull of Kira. Berticus bends down to remove Sylleth's clothing and accessories.

Cao eases his rage, encouraging Nazzak to do the same. Father Howell tries to reconcile the situation, but Berticus continues to push to take the things from Sylleth.

The group carry Sylleth's unconscious body to Father Howell's bedroom. They remove the magical items from the wizard's belongings - some knitting needles, an elixir of health, potion of greater healing, paper talisman, potion of slipperiness, a pearl of power, a sending stone, the Mordon necklace, a red-leather spell book, a metal box and key, Sylleth's spell book, book of sadness and an endless quill. Cao picks up The Oracle's diary.

Sylleth's body is deeply decayed, bones are exposed.

Cao looks for another priest of Imogen. He finds a woman wearing a white, long gown, using the baths, Telyian. She goes and fetches Engaro.

She returns, half an hour later with Engaro. He pours oils between his hands and casts Remove Curse. Then he casts regenerate.

Engaro opens the box with a dispel magic. Berticus and Cao begin to attack the book, one of the pages shows the temple on the other side of the estuary. Another page says, "without me, you are sure to fail in your endeavours." Berticus is using divine magic which breaks the book up.

Nazzak gathers up the burnt pages and puts them back in the box, then starts to walk out. [[Engaro] then casts restoration on Sylleth.

Sylleth's head is pounding and he hears a distant voice. The lady says that everyone knows that Sylleth had strayed quite far, but it hasn't gone unnoticed how strongly he cared for Kira. The voice could be Imogen. She says - "Your purpose is a thing of beauty Sylleth, it would be a shame if it became ugly. I hope it succeeds. I will be with you, rooting for you, as long as what you want is pure. I admire what you've said, but there are those who would use you. They do not care that you get what you want, only that they will get what they want. When I look down on you and see you succeed, it will be with Kira and not a lie.

Sylleth's body begins to heal, his skin tightening and smoothing.
