Under [[Ehecatl Skljef|Ehecatl's]] guidance, a group returns to outside the city. Here they speak to a messenger on the north gate. [[Cappa]] and [[Bellatrix]] are holding up in the city, when they see [[Ehecatl Skljef|Ehecatl]], [[Nazzak]] and [[Alice]] guided in. [[Olive]] and [[Syleth]] remain outside. [[Ehecatl Skljef|Ehecatl]] is invited to speak with [[Morthel]]. [[Morthel]] has control collars forced on [[Cappa]], [[Bellatrix]] and [[Ehecatl Skljef|Ehecatl]]. [[Nazzak]] and [[Alice]] run madly into the allies and enter a sewers when the passages are blocked off. Deep within the city, they encounter [[Olive]] and [[Sylleth]] who have made their way in from the seafront. [[Bellatrix]] and a bunch of guards ambush them, the barbarian wearing the [[Control Collar]]. The combat is brutal, with many of the party falling unconscious. However, the gods are on their side and both barbarians awake from unconsciousness. A large tentacled creature rolls out from the darkness and consumes [[Alice]].
