The Myste-Hass Calender

14/06/2022

Emerging through the portal, Father Howell speaks with Engaro about the land beyond the teleport circle and the situation with Cpt Percival Wainwright. Engaro says he is calling Tatiana back overseas and offers Howell induction into the Temple of Imogen.
They wake Percival and he admits he may be cursed. He says that he heard a voice of someone he once believed to be a god. Engaro asks Howell to leave the room.
Engaro asks Percival if he had killed a defenceless person. He tells the truth, admitting to three killings. Engaro admits he wants to kill Percival for his behaviour, but he says he must think on it and then puts the cursed individual to sleep.
Father Howell rests and sets out in the morning to find Geoffrey. He ends up at The Dregs, in the Western Docks. Here he meets with Uradak again, and Rylak and Brandir. The group look at the notices and then set off to the Market Place to look for Geoffrey.
There are a heavy amount of ships docked in the Western Docks. Some are unloading at the beach. Some are waiting for a space. The group have a meeting with Pelis who tries to recruit them.
They continue to The Halls. Howell leaves a note.
Continuing into the north-western part of town, the group speaks with passers by in order to gain information about the notice about undead in the north west of Myste-Hass. They go up to the most north-westerly tip of the homes, discovering three building nestled in a tight shadow. The walls are tight around it, keeping the buildings in shade. There is a small tent erected outside. A man sits outside, thin, wild hair, staring at the building.
He claims it was viciously attacked by sallow-faced creatures, that killed everyone. The buildings have been abandoned since the Sack of Myste-Hass, but the people were killed by sallow-faced, glowing-eyed, undead.
The group head into the house, exploring for life. Upstairs there is movement. A mound is tucked into the bed in one of the rooms. Brandir detects the body to be undead and begins to pummel it. Rydak sets the bed on fire.
Father Howell closes of the other door, using his staff through a ring in the door.
The girl in the bed wakes up, talking about her daddy and clawing at Brandir. A voice comes from the other room, calling "Darling, what is going on?"
Rylak decapitates the body, killing it. Two other undead creatures bursts through the door and wall. The women, or mother, has dull yellow eyes. She steals spell slots and causes people to lose intelligence.
After dealing with the undead, Brandir lays the souls to rest, sending them to Garr. The group find a body, slashed and contorted into a chest. The body has a scrunched up bill of sale in his coin pouch, with the writing worn away with age.
There is a doll amongst the girls belonging. A button-eyed rag doll. There is also a bunch of bedding with body parts in it.
The mothers has a incision on the back of her head, a small puncture, like a tick bite. Her wrists are bruised from capture and her tongue is missing. The dad and daughter have been bitten, potentially by the mother.
Rydak picks up a book called Holy Dough, a book on bread recipes.
Outside a man, Diamon comes upon the group with a cart, loads the bodies on and covers them with a sheet, then heads for the Temple of Garr with the others riding on the cart. Brandir meets with head priest Heller. Heller says that the graveyard is currently out of service at the moment.
They bring in the bodies of the father and mother, then the cart is gone with the daughter and the stranger who'd been stuffed in the chest. Heller offers work if the group wishes to aid Garr again.
The adventurers head back to The Dregs for food, and then to their various resting places.
