In town, Evandrielle and Castiel are separately attacked by assassins sent from Genasari. Both parties kill their attackers and make it to the authorities. Moving into the North Woods, the heroes discover that the eastern part of the forest has become a nest for large spiders.

The party sets out to map the North Woods further. They head into the centre of the woods and find a peaceful community of creatures who appear drawn towards the tower. Unfortunately, conflict breaks out, and the heroes end up killing those in the community.
