Into the Wilds Lizardfolk

The lizardfolk of the area surrounding Myste-Hass are a primitive people. They are not stupid, though they make appear so to other cultures. They do not think in the same way as

warmbloods, they do not have the same values or morals. They can be brave, cowardly, good, or bad just like any other race. They tend to think that things happen rather than things happen to them, that is the way of the world. They desire the powerful weapons of the warmbloods, and crave magic items to be taken and treasured in their shrines, or offered up to keep the Nep-Tor away. It's a restricted race. You need to get an okay from myself before you play one.

Roleplaying

Lizardfolk must be roleplayed appropriately. They are from a primitive culture and have little to know understanding of the written word in any format other than stone carvings. Both Harriett and Jamie have set a standard on how they act.

Class Restrictions

Lizardfolk cannot choose the following classes: Bard, Monk, Paladin or Wizard.

Barbarians

Lizardfolk Barbarians are usually "Blackscale" much larger than regular lizard folk and with dark black or grey scales.

Equipment Notes

Lizardfolk will favour simple weapons and will not use conventional heavy armour.

Language Restrictions

When playing a lizard folk you only have Draconic as your language. Communication with other cultures is hard work.

Lizardfolk Religion

Lizardfolk, like Yuan-Ti and Goliaths actually predate the coming of Tempress as the indiginous occupants of the world before it was "remade" and conventional magic and religion came to be. At that time powerful god-like beings were worshiped from beyond the material plane, but this has been all but forgotten.
Lizardfolk tend to believe what nature shows them and the six primary deities manifest their powers through Shamans, so their power is incontestable. Lizard folk usually use the conventional names for the deities but in some cases some tribes have their own names for the gods, though they usually still represent one of the six.

Lizard Pantheon

Tempress

Tempress herself is never worshipped by the Lizard tribes. She is seen as a destroyer, one who took the world from the scaled folk.

Nep-Tor

Lizardfolk superstition talks of a number of entities that do the work of the gods. Of all of these rumours it is Nep-Tor that brings the most fear to the Lizardfolk. Nep-Tor appears as a great bird that takes the eggs from the families. Nep-Tor cares not whether you are chief or hunter. It is known amoungst shamans that when Nep-Tor takes an egg, that soul is forfit never to go to Takar.

Tribes

Lizard folk are organised into tribes. Usually revolving around a chief - the biggest and strongest who is advised by one or more Shaman. Tribes have names combining sensations and colours with things of importance.
