Arriving back in town, the man, raised on a crate, shouts out about Garr's angels. He is a human in ordinary clothes. There are a crowd of around sixty people listening to him.
Corym shouts out, objecting to Garr's involvement. Reinhold says that we have higher priest of Garr. The cleric of Garr tells everyone to kneel and then come to Temple of Garr tonight, and worship will be held in a proper way.
A shudder shakes the town, a small earthquake.
Gartok questions the man, Lake Rone. He claims that his mother, Seraya, was ill, and as she passed on the creature arrived. They are from Equil originally. They spent time in the Tower of Dariss during the occupation.
Dramos and Maolmhuire follows Lake to find his mother.
The others head to the Temple of Imogen to find Til. Goraz confronts them as they move through the Market Place, asking if they could come to The Halls for a meeting with the Council of Myste-Hass.
At the Temple of Imogen, Engaro is talking to Tatiana. Reinhold convinces Lorey to join the group in the temple. Engaro takes the group down the corridor to the right, he presses a stone in the wall and down a flight of stairs into a well-lit basement level. There are plenty of doors down here. Engaro unlocks the door to where Til is being kept.
Information is shared, about Til's death, the demonic creatures, Fate and the event with Heller.
Meanwhile, the other two head to a humble building in town. Maolmhuire prepares a ritual, but Dramos chats to Lake Rone, asking about what they were doing in the north. The man changes whilst he's chatting to Dramos, taking on the personality of Ravaran. He is trying to convince Dramos to come north. He says if the teifling calls out, one of Dramos's friends will die. It would only take a thought. He speaks about Dramos's parental issues, and unlocking his potential. He says, "You've got a lot to inherit, Dramos. That could benefit both of us, not to mention, the others like you. We're rebuilding, better this time. Less grandeur, just actual grandeur. I'll be in charge here, you back at home."
He threatens that Harbinger is the first to die if he acts out. Ravaran's people are apparently everywhere, wandering through the street.
Dramos tries to cast darkness, but Ravaran counterspells. He runs through into the backroom where Maolmhuire is performing his ritual, shouting Ravaran. Ravaran then casts slow on both of them. He then tells Maolmhuire that he is irrelevant. The Garr cleric runs, but he can't get out of the window. Dramos turns into a bat, but he can't get out through the window blocked by Maolmhuire's gravestone. When the wizard can't hit Maolmhuire through shield, Ravaran says - "Maybe I'm focusing on the wrong person. Maolmhuire, lets have a conversation."
The priest drinks a potion of giant's strength, and bursts from the building running into the streets. Dramos becomes a bat, then gets bludgeoned back into teifling form with a ice storm. He asks the wizard for a week, but he refuses. He runs into the street.
But, Maolmhuire runs back in and says "I do believe the phrase is - do you wrestle?" He grapples Ravaran, then a black line forms in the air near Maolmhuire becoming a blade-like planar rift. Maolmhuire casts shield in the nick of time.
Dramos runs, pursued by the void blade. Then all goes quiet. Maolmhuire is banished. A bell is ringing, deeper in town towards the market. He keeps running, moving towards the Market Place.
Maolmhuire looks around, he's somewhere entierly dark. There are flashes of white light, lightening that illuminates a bright tower in the distance. There are creatures swirling the tower in the distance. The cleric sits, calming himself and praying to Garr. As the lightenening flashes, he sees wisps of light travelling towards the tower. He feels that communication with Garr is blocked. He drinks some potions, feeling unusual effects from the combinations of magics. Then, silence descends. The only sounds are words in Maolmhuire's head, but he does not understand them.
The Silent Stalker attacks, Maolmhuire punches the creature back, hitting him with the gravestone. It is not enough though, the creature knocks him unconscious then reaches into his corpse and extracts his soul - "Mine."
Dramos sprints through town, eventually reaching the Temple of Imogen. The group races to put their armour on. Rasvyn scrys, seeing Ravaran at the Southern Docks. He then suggests to him that he should leave Myste-Hass and not return for three days. He is then seen heading towards a boat.
The party set out into the city. Maolmhuire is not far away, his body is badly cut up. A passer by recounts that Maolmhuire fought Ravaran, then disappeared, then appeared again.
Maolmhuire awakens, one of his eyes completely white. He hears Garr's whisper - "Maolmhuire". There is an element of magic to his eye, with a divination aura. It appears to allow perception beyond the normal world, into something else. When his eye is covered, he can still see.
They find Lake Rone unconscious by the well. Harbinger wakes him, he was knocked out. He is frightened and concerned about his mother's body.
Gartok gets a message from Ravaran. Beast take a message for me - I will leave when I want. You were stupid and you will be again.
Maolmhuire claims he has been reborn.
Harbinger asks Geoffrey to bring the Council of Myste-Hass to the Temple of Imogen.
Dramos gives Maolmhuire the Justice of Ioneres staff.
The group return to the Temple of Imogen to regroup.
Rasvyn sends a guard out with a description of Ravaran.
Sten, Andro, Geoffrey, Dooraz, Boro and Goraz arrive at the Temple of Imogen. Dooraz wants the group to leave the town, whilst all the others are keen for adventurers to stay. When Rasvyn sees a scrying orb, he mentions it and it disappears.
Ravaran then appears, claiming that their interests are mutual. He suggests leaving the group alone, whilst the adventurers deal with Ankeleus. He suggests that someone is creeping into the shoes of all the gods, particularly worming its way into Engaro's mind. He says that Ankeleus is a jumped up relative of Dramos, a primordial demon who once controlled death before Garr. He is somewhere in the shadowfell. IN the highest level of his tower, he has an orb which allows him to overpower Garr's pull. He wants that orb. But, Ravaran doesn't have a realm to the shadowfell.
Ravaran says that we should stay away from the north coast.
Ravaran has an interest in Dramos because of his breeding. He also has an offer in Rasvyn.
Ravaran says that if we come for him first, he will send meteors to kill everyone in the town. He promises to share the information his scholars find out. He will notify us if he ends the truce, and Rasvyn will notify him the other way round.
Reinhold mentions the woman they killed, Ravaran's woman, and he twitches at that.
Goraz has secured some accommodation for us in town. He would also like to look at funding an area where all the temples are in one location.
Geoffrey explains what happened with Heller to Maolmhuire, who presses him hard, asking him for details of all involved in the killing of the head of the Temple of Garr. He says that the old texts indicate some wrangling of the bodies is acceptable. Therefore, he should be brought in for questioning as well.
