Nazzak scares a man in The Hung Goat whilst looking for Dale. Afterwards, the group heads to Offensive Defense where they commission some silvered weapons. During their discussion with Bow, a Tempress worshipper comes into order a scepter and then stops abruptly and runs out, chased by the curious adventures. Arriving in a market square in the Southern Docks, enemies send crossbow bolts into the approaching adventurers. A gang of King Sketch’s lycanthrope boars and lackeys have gathered in an ambush. At the end of the fight, the group finds Sylleth has tried to kill himself and Olive has been forced to preserve his life, whilst keeping him unconscious.

The group meet at The Hung Goat to discuss their plans. Nazzak retrieves his silvered axe and Mrs Stonewall crafts an incredible silver net. They head to the docks and set out towards The Crab Finder with a young lady who is fascinated by the half-orcs. Nearing, the creatures on the bout assault the adventurers with crossbow bolts. Messy combat ensues. On defeating the foes, the party finds half-race slaves and many crates of mushroom drugs, which Talos tipped into the water. The group brings the ship into the harbour and Talos employs the ex-slave changelings to crew the ship as his work force. Finally, Sylleth casts a spell which helps Nazzak locate his familiar at the Temple of Imogen with ‘Til. The rat king, Sketch, was returned to the barracks under the custody of Corporal Gaffe who takes everyone's name.
