The Myste-Hass Calender

12/05/22

Arriving back at the Tower of Dariss, the group disperses for the night. Gartok and Harbinger make themselves useful with the people, Corym speaks with the people, indicating that group intends to head back to Myste-Hass in force on the morrow. Reinhold seeks out Engaro and Lorey's body. Crassus heads into the plains looking for components. Percival stealths his way up to the alter room.
A Helvettain soldier mentions that there was an altercation yesterday with a group causing problems, but they were told to leave and then they set of south. The soldier indicates that the Helvettian reinforcements will arrive soon.
In search of a piece of cork, Crassus turns into a crab and crawls up to a campfire, stealing the seal on a bottle of drink.
Corym discovers his bag is not a Bag of Holding. Reaching in, he feels something grab him and a whisper of someone calling him inside, his skin burning as the hand pulls him in. A bolt of sunbeam fires in the bag from Corym, and he removes his hand and shuts the bag.
Reinholt has Gremlin follow Percival as he sneaks up to the alter room. Percival places a hand on his amulet and the alter of Dariss again. He hears the voice again, who claims that he spoke to Garr on his behalf. Garr is unhappy, a soul for a soul is what he wants, and Garr does not like that. Percival offers information on Lorey's resurrection. I went to the temple by the river to watch Lorey and, there were bones all around him, he tires, he will not last long. The voice offers a blessing, extra power in return for souls to be delivered. Bring a part of the body, or the whole body, with the amulet to place of worship. If I give you this power, it is permanent, you deliver souls to me until you die but you will longer and gain great strength and prowess in combat. Your enemies will fear you when they see you. The voice names himself as Verru. If he loses the amulet, the voice will come for him. Percival accepts to the deal.
Reinholt tells Percival that he is no longer allowed in the Tower of Dariss after determining that he waslying about praying to Dariss, but instead praying to a celestial.
Corym arrives at Engaro's tent, and Engaro seems startled. He claims that he is feeling very close to Imogen. Engaro claims Lorey fights so hard because he is somewhat unfulfilled.
Dramos cannot find the diamond merchant from Perfect Glass.
Percival says something rude about Altibo who is chilling at the Tower of Dariss, and then it nudges Percival down the stairs.
The group rests, waking in the morning.
Percival informs the people who are camped at the base of the tower that an entourage will be leaving around midday, led by Corym, Reinholt and Harbigner.
Percival seeks out Engaro's tent, but the priest is not there. The candle is burning on an alter.
Reinhold sends Engaro a message about attending the resurrection, but he's interrupted in some strenuous activity.
Corym stone shapes the bag into a crevice in the alter room of the Tower of Dariss.
Corym begins the ritual, Reinholt says some words. Gartok asks him to return and show him how strong he is. Harbinger summons an aura of life for Lorey. Engaro arrives from his morning jog, then says some words. Dramos approaches, in his words to Lorey he mentions that he has given his soul to another. Then Dramos casts enhance ability on Lorey's strength.
The group stand back, leaving Reinholt and Corym at the alter. Suddenly the colour drains from the room and it grows dark, a jagged line of dark extends down the corridor outside and the room runs into a arched chamber. There is a distant light in the distance, we are on a slope looking down at a bluish-green mist inside a river. There is a structure on both sides of the river. There is a creature that leaps from the water mist. The moon hangs ahead.
Percival is crouched behind a rock, Gartok runs at him. The party have an altercation trying to disarm the tension between the two men. Gartok thinks that Percival is somewhat responsible.
There is a woman, Niyin, on a rock, looking towards the river, her hair so long it covers her body. She is reluctant to cross on, here to help those passing on and enjoys watching a little suffering. She says that Garr gets everyone eventually. She has evaded him because she is slippy, and she helps others. She reaches towards Dramos, he steps away.
The ground is littered with piles of bones.
Approaching the building, the group sees Lorey covered in blackmarks, punching an ethereal, cowled creature. He looks tired. Bones begin to shift. A giant skeleton animates, flesh regrowing from the damage done to Gartok.
Corym's spell fails as a woestrider appears.
Niyin whispers something to Engaro.
An ethereal form of Lorey is being ripped from his body by the wraiths.
Harbinger and Reinholt move in to kill the Reapers surrounding Lorey, whilst the others face the other creatures. Harbinger manoeuvres, only to feel the immense pull of the river of souls pull her back. Reinholt comes to the rescue, casting freedom of movement on Harbinger. She rises from the river, destroying the final Reaper.
Dramos disintegrates Niyin, then moves on the skeleton, destroying it.
A spindly thin individual, huge, rises from the ethereal liquid of the river. Garr claims that this is a break in the natural order. Dariss is always asking for favours. The tally must be lost.
Reinholt mentions Ardanath Cross, promising Cross. Garr says "Give me Cross and I'll forgive you this one. In light of Mordon and Morthel. This is your last transgression. I collect, the sands run, everyone's time runs out. If you continue to defy nature, even Alaie will turn against you."
Garr says that someone holds Ardanath from him, one of them, likely Silma.
Silma is currently in the Void, residing in Anglan.
Garr will send word to one of his followers, on how to send an Avatar to his land. The next time we see each other, I will welcome you into my realm.
