The Myste-Hass Calender

19/05/22

Harbinger, Dramos, Gartok, Corym and All Day Bear gather at the Tower of Dariss with many of the survivors keen to return to the ruined streets of Myste-Hass, after the resurrection of Lorey.
The prisoners with no tongues and hands are still at the Tower of Dariss with the crew that helped them, awaiting to come to Myste-Hass later.
Dramos scrys on Andro who is readying to head back to town.
Dramos scrys on Boro and Benadictor, but sees nothing.
Dramos seeks out Sten, he is sitting beneath a tree. He is extremely pessimistic and nostalgic of Milvere. He explains that the reason Myste-Hass was settled was to provide resources for the mainland. He imagines a wall across the Northern Pass, the entire plain converted to farmland and several new harbours. "There are two qualities necessary for a leader - the respect of the people, and the ability to use force and be ruthless when required."
Sten says that he will only run the town if there is an election and the people choose him. There will be changes and many people will not like the changes. But often, people don't like the stuff that is best for them.
The alternative is to get on a boat and sail off to do know who knows what. He would serve though, if there was an opportunity to prevent the same happening again. We will need armed forces, the militia.
Sten says - "I will head back to town today and decide what I do tomorrow."
Only five helvettians are alive to return to Myste-Hass.
Quintus and his unit are still MIA.
Between fifty and a hundred people set off back to Myste-Hass.
Dramos and Gartok cut away from the group to check on Gartok's Hut. They meet All Day Bear on the way and, since he's a goliath, bond a little on appreciation of bears.
The cabin door is pushed ajar. Leaves have blown in. Someone has been in here and clearly searched the place, knocking things over and pulling down some of his items.
Gartok digs up his hidden chest. He then reburies it.
Altibo arrives and Harbinger asks him to fly him up onto the Myste-Hass gates. He dives, even though Harbinger makes him promise not too.
A tiefling wearing a short-sleeve white shirt and leather jacket greets the group. He has a reddish-purple hue, two long, grey horns. Goraz is his name and he claims that he is not from the town originally, but is purposely vague as to where he is from and when he arrived. He claims that he has been learning about movers and shakers.
Corym asks the helvettians to gather people and meet at The Halls.
The watch are patrolling the streets. They have been staying in the Militia Barracks.
A couple of stalls are open again, selling food. Caster's Pouch has a sign that says Stonewall's Pouch. Offensive Defence is boarded up.
There is a distant scream, far to the south.
People start to gather. They are fearful of Gartok and All Day Bear. Geoffrey is at the gathering. Corym approaches him. Geoffrey is missing his right hand. He was trying to keep a low profile, moving amongst the people dressed in their uniform. He was interrogated. He didn't give them anything though. He passed out.
Geoffrey mentions that a group of people, now taken control of Caster's Pouch, were a little forceful about their right to claim reward for their part in taking back the city.
They talk about Father Howell being alive and well.
A few folks are going out on smaller boats to collect fish for food, but something under the water has been harassing the groups.
Geoffrey notes that Goraz was very quick to arrive and get a group of followers immediately. He seems to have done nothing wrong, but he was quick to assert his influence.
The outside of The Halls are soot stained and blackened. Lots of the furniture has been picked up.
A man in The Halls says that Goraz has been organising people on the outskirts of town. Boro is sat in a chair. Boro has been tortured and answered questions in a way that he felt minimise the damage. He lied where he could, exaggerated and misled. Often, the best thing is to offer some of the truth to cover the lie.
There is an individual called Dooraz mobilising the fisher folk and capitalising on the food. He is implementing a toll for using the gate towards the Southern Docks. Geoffrey has been trying to mobilise the militia.
Boro would forgive Sten. He was collared.
