Taking Damage

From Into the Wilds Wiki

When a location not protected by armour is hit, you subtract Body Points equal to the amount of Damage done.

Spells

If the Rank of a spell is greater than your Level, you are affected by the spell.

Body Points

Each race has a set number of Body Points. You have this number of points in all six Hit Locations. If you take Damage this number of Body Points is reduced appropriately. You should also role-play the hit that is inflicted upon you - everyone will get more out of the combat if the pain is played, making the encounter more memorable. If a Hit Location goes down to 0 Body Points that area is Crippled and may not be used. If it is an arm then it goes limp, if it’s a leg then you can’t use it. You must limp or drag the leg behind you. If you lose both legs, then you fall to the floor and finally if it’s the torso goes down to 0 you fall unconscious.
If a limb has gone down to 0, any further hits to this location go straight through to the torso instead.

You gain 1 additional Body Point at Level 3, 6 & 9.
