- Scor Tomkin is a sailor, first encountered in The Cleft, who had been to Engaro at the Temple of Imogen to have himself cleansed following his previous ship's run in with Verru whilst on a course for Kyushu.
- Crassus approached Scor about joining the crew he is assembling for the Dead Man's Raft.
