Morning breaks, the lizards wake, healing Scar-Barak and Bonk, then discuss a plan. They are torn between going back to get Shresh to help with Nep-Tor, returning to the nest or continuing to explore the caves for Scal-ess.

In the end, the group leaves Bonk with Smol and the clutch. They head deeper into the cave where the dryder came from. There is a set of stairs going up with daylight ahead. There are webs up here and a steel-legged spider. The spider pays no attention to noise made by Resk.

Resk and Jux charge up to a mirror, thinking their reflections are other lizardfolk. They hit the mirror and magical energy reverberates out.

When Xuih sets fire to the spider web, revealing eggs behind, the spider attacks. There is another on the ceiling.

Jux can hear someone speaking in a language he does not understand somewhere else. There is a larger, black-skinned Scal-ess (dryder) in the entrance, much larger than the other one.

The group fights to get Xuih on its feet, removing the paralysis and poison and bringing him back from the unconsciousness. Then they run.

The abomination touches the mirror, saying a command word, Nestock, and disappearing.

Resk is brough down by the large poisioning spider as he attempts to leave, but Xuih heals him and Resk manages to kill the creature.

Xiuh picks up the remaining four eggs hidden in here.

This room is filled with parchment and scrolls, all useless to the lizardfolk. One has arcane sigil type drawings which Jux keeps to give to Shresh.

Scar-Burak lays the mirror face down, then they throw it straight off the edge of the cliff. It disappears from view.

They stuff the whole which the spider was carrying eggs up.

When the group return to the camp, Bonk is unconcious and tied up. Smol is gone and six of eggs have been smashed. Ato tries to shoot Smol but she gets away.

The group try to descend the cliff, navigating the sixteen eggs and a short rest.

Eventually, they hunt a mammal for food but it runs away, and Ato fails to find Smol.

Stickrick tells Xiuh that when he's a Scal-ess hes very poisoness. Stickrick asks to be treated very nicely, and not to be scratched with.

Xiuh sees movement by the eggs, trying to eat one.

The rope snaps, and smash three eggs, but one is saved by Ato. Ato uses a hand print to mark that egg. But, whilst he's not looking, Jux then marks a bunch of other eggs with hand prints.

The group gathers up the thirteen eggs.

Before they leave, they see the mirror stood up on a corner. They push it over, then head back into the valley.

By nightfall, having seen several goblin patrols in wooden masks, some of them on mounted cavalry, the group reaches the treeline. The goblins are patrolling packs of ten and there are at least one hundred out.

Jux finds a campsite, where they dig a hollow for the eggs. The group rests. Resk sees a branch off ahead. A lizard appears, about the size of a large dog, with a tongue over a foot long. It's sniffing at the air. Resk tries to scare him off.

On the second watch, Xuih spots the lizard again. He stares him in the eyes and tries to convince him not to eat his eggs. He throws it some meat.

On third watch, Ato tries to drink the water. Scar-Burak is bitten by the lizard when he tries to befriend him. Ato gives him some meat and he does not bite, slipping away into the forest.

Fourth watch, Gong and Bonk are on watch.

In the morning, the group move off. The lizard is following for almost an hour, but only Scar-Burak notices. All of sudden, the lizard gets hit by an arrow. Several shadows appear in the morning mist. They are frog riders and masked goblins.

The one goblin figure, with a wooden mask begins shaking his stick and saying something to cast a spell - WE PAUSE

Intitiative - Resk, baddies, Ato, Skar-Burak, Gonk, Xuih and Jux.

Resk has a bless on himself, Gong and Skar-Burak.

Ato has hunters mark on the one whose surrounded.

Xuih has his wild fire spirit behind a goblin.

Gong has his wild magic number 8.
