The lizards wake as Gitzosk wakes them. He takes them to see Guk, he's wearing a shawl of black feathers. He is striped with yellow and green, with a maroon eye.

Guk calls Resk a coward for not being there, then tasks the group to retrieve food. The women need food to guard against Neptor. He wants mammals for eating - five, good-sized animals.

Another lizard person, Jiux, overhears the group and questions the adventurers question Guk being the murderer of his father.

Xiuh determines it will be dry and cloudy all day.

The group heads out and encounters an acidic snail, which they kill.

There is a effigy in the woods of a scal-ess with a gorilla head.

The group kill a tiger by the river.

Then, a scal-ess emerges from a nearby cave, followed by its friends. They kill Carek, but eventually the group slaughter the evil scal-ess.

Xiuh picks up the shaman's magical staff, a skull filled with a rattling substance. A voice speaking a different language that Xiuh can still hear is heard in his head. The voice can't feel Xiuh until he says his name. It identifies itself as Sterrik. It feels very reluctant to be put down. The group all put their hands on it and calls itself Stick-Rick.

They tell the stick that they want to find Shresh.

There is a small scal-ess near the back of the cave. There are cave paintings, beds and fire here. The cave paintings show a zagaraut with people. She says stecksor.

The group make a meat sledge and intend to rest in the cave, then eat Carek. However, the bodies rise as undead. Xiuh kills them with fire. They rest.

Pushing forward, they see another statue. The statues is smaller, but it has a head dress and blocky design. There is a stick in its hand, engraved clothes. It has shiny eyes and Ato wants to gift the stone to Resk and becomes 'shiny stone' group. Ato climbs up on the statue but can't get the stone out.

Stick-Rick gives the impression that he may have done something bad and gotten cursed to be put in a staff. The creatures sees through the animal, mammal skulls eyes. He might be in a goat head. Everyone thinks he's dead, but he was a powerful spell caster before. His lord was great in power and short in patience. He was skimming.

It informs Xiuh that to the north, there is somewhere where there are lots of scal-ess daggers - metal.

Stik-Rick sees the child, and asks why the group intends to eat her. He says that the lizardfolk could bargain with scal-ess for resources.

There are four gem-eyed statue, this one being the southern statues.

The group heads north and finds a pyramid. The door is at the top of the four pillared rooftop. This is Tak-Ha. There is a scal-ess near a small camp fire, two dead black-scale lizardfolk and Shresh badly injured, captured in a cage. There are five more scal-ess moving towards the shrine. There are six horses hobbled nearby.

The man is cooking a chunk of black-scale over the fire.

The group assault the watcher, free Shresh and steal the horses. Juix raids the camp.

Shresh wants to kill the scal-ess, but they are not the actual ones who are guilty. He wants to get a mouth full of poison and spit it in Guk's eyes, then put Chief Vuk's mate, Guk's mother, in charge.

The scal-ess are called 'corsairs'.

Shresh seems fascinated with the tiny scal-ess. He says that all the knowledge is inside the scal-ess body, and he wants to open up the little girl.

Shresh says that the bird call we heard earlier is an omen.

The group return to camp with six horses, a scal-ess child, the dead body of a scal-ess man and leave Shresh outside of town.
