Quest Requests

From Into the Wilds Wiki

Does your character want to investigate something, go on a quest or gather a group of like-minded adventurers for some fun? Here's how to request an Into The Wilds session on Facebook.
Organising Into The Wilds session can be a lot like chasing cats. It is impossible to schedule all the games so there are no clashes or timing conflicts. However, we try our best. This sometimes means that a session request can be on the Upcoming Games & Quest List for a long while before the game finally gets to happen. We roughly follow the order that requests come in, but real world schedules come first, then pressing story points in the game. If you put up a request to investigate petty thievery, and a dragon attacks the city, it would make no sense to prioritise the thievery session. "Excuse me, Miss Red Dragon, could you wait? We're trying to deal with who has been stealing incense from the magic shop." We follow real-life schedules and in-game story before the order of session requests.

Options

When it comes to the other players, you can do one of the following:
  • Leave it open for anyone to sign up. The first spot on the game will be reserved for you and the others will be reserved in order of who comments on the post, in a first-come, first-served order.
  • Ask for particular types of characters. So, you're not requesting anyone specific, but you may want to specify that you will prioritise having a rogue or a cleric on the game. Alternatively, you may want to limit who you invite. For instance, your session may not be appropriate for paladins (because you're planning something dodgy), or you don't want any thieves in your group. The first spot on the game will be reserved for you and the others will be reserved in order of who comments on the post, in a first-come, first-served order, but prioritising spaces for those classes you have specified.
  • Ask for some specific characters. In this case, you may want to reserve spots for a couple of fellow adventurers you know and leave the rest of the seats open for whoever signs up. The first spots on the game will be reserved for you and your requests, the others will be reserved in order of who comments on the post, in a first-come, first-served order.
  • Ask for a very specific team. Finally, you may need a hand-picked group to deal with something. You reserve all the spots for those you've requested and any other sign ups go on the bench in order of their Facebook comments.
