At this scenario...
The Traveling Man, an Avatar of Sardonyx, plucks a handful of adventurers from their daily concerns and forces them to face a series of challenges. Watched by Dolos, an embodiment of good and bad luck, the adventurers were judged for their actions. This Avatar felt it was his place to find champions for his God in a war he suspected would arise between the known Gods and Fate.
Fate challenges the ideals of chance and opportunity that Sardonyx stands for. Furthermore, the Gods had vowed not to interfere in the affairs of those resident on Tempress and Fate did not appear to abide by those rules.
