The group gather and begin planning how to locate C'anis & Bern. They begin by sending a message to Bern, who responds in broken chunks. Reinhold then uses Divination in order to speak to Dariss, but a robin flies in and hits a wall during the ritual. Rasvyn uses a scrying spells and sees the ethereal forms of C'anis, Bern and some Woestriders at The Temple of Resurrection. Harbinger, Dramos, Gartok and Til travel to the Temple of Garr for advice and meet with Lord Heller. Rasvyn, Reinhold and Maolmhuire travel to the Temple of Peridot. One of the priests of Peridot, Godon, agrees to attend the quest for note making purposes. Before leaving town, the group meet with Geoffrey who also agrees to accompany the group. On arriving at the Helvettian Garrison, the party discover a group of Lizardfolk hounding the gates. They have had a vision of C’anis and wish his soul returned or released to Garr. Rasvyn and Reinhold negotiate a deal with these creatures, sharing some kind of drugs with the Lizard creatures in return for their trust. Entering the halls, undead Helvettians and an undead woman immediately assault the adventurers. The group defeats such creatures and Maolmhuire performs a ceremony to send these individuals on to Garr.
Returning into the complex, the group encounter an aspiration who talks of a trial for Mordon. Further investigation involves someone recently defacing statues and magical circles, with several awful creatures in a room of chains. Dramos has a vision of a time gone by with a woman, Benadictor, who claims that it is time to align the door. Moving further on, the group finds a swirling vortex with C'anis and Bern. The avatar of Revios challenges the party until the voice of Fate takes prevalence. A deadly fight erupts. A death knight, tasked with killing Dramos and bringing him to Fate, opens a rift in which the form of Revios, inhabited by Fate, escapes. Harbinger attacks the throne which brings The Temple of Resurrection down. Bern, now located in Gartok’s mace, plainshifts the group to Anglan. There they rest for a short period before being chased by small goat-like creatures which leap and cause disease. A message from Tabby leads the group to a stone circle, drenched in blood and glowing red. A horrible demon terrorises and Gartok sacrifices himself in order to activate the ritual circle. Returning in Myste-Hass, Harbinger revivifies Gartok.
