The Myste-Hass Calender

19/03/2024

The group wake and have a drink whilst discussing their path.
Cloudy heads out to get belgian buns for breakfast, going to a new bakery - Claudius. He promises to make a sign in return for more buns.
Castiel heads to the warehouse to see the quartermaster. The Pale Tintcher is a poison that stays in the body, until the poison either rejects it or succumbs. Midnight Tears will kill most people. Assassins Tears is quite effective. He takes two doses of Assassins Blood.
Castiel talks with Femaldo, asking if anyone in Lahoto's "care" is due to die in the next few days. He says that he requires a person, which he can kill. Femaldo decides to raise a body for Castiel. They agree to meet at the Temple of Bin.
On returning to the Moon and Stars, he sees Tedak. He leads the bedraggled looking woman into the bar. He provides her with Insome's Ale. The ale is smooth, luke warm and frothless dark liquid. It has a hoppy flavour with an undertone of lavender. It provides the benefits of giving a long rest.
Grasino walks in. He is generally slimy and condescending to Castiel, but he claims to be there to talk about their similarities. He also says he's there to see Harmony. They each drink a shot of Star Liquid. He agrees to come back in the evening and talk with Castiel and then go on a date with Harmony.
Castiel heads out to see Femaldo, guided in by Na-Raam. There are bodies laid out on alters and plinths throughout the room. At the head is an alter where Femaldo is chanting, candles on the alter and he lifts a diamond into the air. The body sits up. The body is called Robert.
Castiel intends to bind Robert's spirit to his own until the next sunset.
Castiel asks about Grasino, informing them that Grasino has made a deal with an entity much like he has himself.
Robert is dressed in priest robes.
Back in the tavern, someone turns up pretending to be Castiel. The group do not recognise anything wrong, inviting him in. Cloudy drinks a glass of the Polymorphic Brew.
Castiel and Robert turn up and it becomes clear that the other person was a pretender. The back doors were left open. After proving it is Castiel, he goes upstairs with Reobert.
Castiel slits Robert's throat, raising him as a spectre.
Lazarus heads over to Williams house, seeing the guards and Big Al. Williams is not back. They have searched a substantial amount of the woods, but Lazarus argues that they have druid who is really good with the woods. The man provides passes which need to be returned. The passes indicate they are not allowed back in if they don't return until sunset.
The trio heads towards the woods, then begin looking for Williams.
Back in town, Castiel and Harmony meet with Claus and his five men. They head out into the woods, but see Cloudy who delivers a message that reads - "PL353 Go Wy Wuh B Mordred" - and informs the individual that he's in great danger. Cloudy says there is a man in town who wishes your master harm. The guard brings Cloudy back to Claud.
Harmony begins performing for the group, attempting an enthral. Castiel gives the others poison in their alcoholic drinks. Harmony charms two of the men, convincing them to stay next to a tree. Castiel leads on Claud, whilst Cloudy tries to convince Bob, his lead henchman, that Claud's life is in danger because of a "Lemon" named individual.
A pale figure strides from a nearby figure and attacks Claud, the incorporeal figure draining his life essence.
Cloudy runs in to attack the ghost. Harmony falls on the ground in supposed terror. Castiel acts shocked as well. The spectre attacks Cloudy. Eventually, the guards take him down, but a white boar runs into the clearing.
Three boars run in. They are speaking common, one about a deal on the mainland, the other about a type of fruit. They are intelligent and react to Harmony's cutting words. Eventually, a loud and deep grumble of pig sounds are heard. With a tough fight, the group eventually take all three pigs out. But, only Bob remains alive at the end of the combat.
Bob carries Claud back to town. The group make it back just as the dun begins to set.
They head towards the Moon and Stars.

Arriving at the tavern, the building appears locked up as normal. Heading inside, all the tables and chairs are stacked up really high.
The kitchen is clear. The place is exceptionally clean.
Cloudy disassembles the stack.
With Castiel leading the search, the group check every room. Lazarus draws a moustache and a pair of spectacles on Dr Baum's face whilst he was sleeping. The rooms are untouched, except Castiel's room where the window is open. There is no sign of tampering here, but there is a wet hand print on the windowsill - a small, none human hand.
There's a sudden popping, then Lahoto, Femaldo, Big Al and another individual appears. He questions Castiel about the two new members, then sits down for a conversation. Castiel sends Cloudy and Tedak out, whilst Harmony serves them Golden Goat.
The group reports what happened with the boars to Lahoto. He asks if there is anything, in addition to the debt being removed, the group wants as reward.
Lazarus wants money. Castiel wants to know everything worldly possible about Grasino. Harmony asks for opportunities, along with a manager, to achieve fame, success and money. A small payment is offered for Cloudy and Tedak.
He then proposes another job - mayor needs to go. He must be voted out. The current mayor is secretive and rarely comes out of the office. He used to be open, now he is secretive. He is not undead but does have some magical capabilities.
The town guard are loyal to him, but they are also paid by the town. The mayor grew up with the guards. He was a lower income individual who managed to persuade the people to join him because of beguiling speeches.
The elections are some months away. There is no deputy, a position that mayor got read off, so a death would bring the voting forward.
Lahoto claims that there is no rush on this job. It's okay to allow the group to leave for a while.
He can provide papers to leave the town.
The debt to Lahoto from Castiel is now 1087gp, 3sp and 3cp. It should be returned to Lahoto, the shop or one of his trusted men - not the goblins.
The group rest.
In the morning, there's a plain looking leather bag hung on the door. There is a large leather pouch and two sealed parchment packs. There is 500gp for Lazarus. It has a LH marked in the wax. These are contracts for Cloudy and Tedak.
Lazarus acquires five boxes, popping 50gp in each and sending them to Myste-Hass. He insures them.
Cloudy and Tedak sign the contracts, the name at the bottom being Castiel not Lahoto.
Castiel goes off to pawn goods in an attempt to get money towards his debt.
Cloudy takes his sign down to the bakers, in return for a whole selection of buns.
Tedak goes and picks up some goods too.
Lazarus sneaks into Castiel room, breaking into his chest and leaving an addition 100gp in there.
Harmony flirts with as many people as possible. A young lady comes in with long blond hair, very pretty. Harmony does a trial shift. She's a little nervous though. She says she is from a bar in Grenhome. It's Mary.
Mary tells Castiel that she's come to Urruhan because she needed a change of scene. Castiel gives her the bar manager job. She came here to find Castiel. Apparently, people are disappearing in Urruhan. However, the people in Grenhom don't remember who those people were.
The whole group heads to the shop again, Castiel paying off his debt and collecting information on passes for the group. Castiel is given a silver coin which will allow the group free access to the city. Other essentials are picked up.
We're told the northern coastal path is safer.
The group say goodbye to Mary, leaving her with the key and allowing her to stay in Castiel's room. A troop of about fifty orcs standing in the square in a loose formation, dressed in full kit.
On the way out, Castiel displays the coin and the group is allowed out. The group turns right and heads across the fields, past the graveyard. It's around midday. A darkness starts to fill the sky. It gets windy, a breeze blowing off the sea.
It's an eclipse.
A crack of thunder and a flash of lightening towards the centre of the island, near the quarry. Another flash of lightening comes down on the western side of the mountains. Then, one just south of the group fifteen minutes later.
The group pick up the pace, there is a sudden flash, then the moon begins to shift away.
A lot of noise is heard towards the south. Voices, not elven or orcs, can be heard. There is shrieking, wailing and moaning.
The group head towards the ruins where the undead were. The grass turns a yellowish colour. Cloudy and Lazarus scout ahead. They use the bullseye to call the group closer.
There's a taller building in the middle of the space which has a golden glow.
A voice, naming themselves Callinore tells Lazarus that he's on his land and questions him.
"You are welcome to come closer if you wish. They will not harm you." The person doesn't know what the glow is, but instructs him to come to the white mausoleum. The voice asks who Lazarus's boss is insistingly.
Lazarus bombs back over, unhindered by the zombies.
The hear another scream, then debate whether they should have intervened. Then, Lazarus runs in again, completely ignored by the undead - shambling ogres, humans and elves.
There is a child in the centre of the circle of zombies and skeletons. The kid is holding a blade and there is a gash in their arm.
The voice tells Lazarus to be careful because that one is not under his control. There are about forty undead. The kid puts down the knife and moves towards Lazarus to go up on his shoulders. When his hands moves forward, Lazarus realises that the kids has black nails with pallid skin. It attacks the rogue.
Untouched by the undead, Lazarus manages to run, as does the rest of the group, leaving behind the evil child.
The group set towards the mountains.
The party moves towards the hilly area, near the ten - fifteen mile mountain spot, as the sun sets. The dust cloud on the horizon is larger than before. They find a dip and make a spot to rest with a small fire, planning their watches for the night.
