Adventurers set out to the south-western edge of the North Woods in an attempt to deal with the ankheg issue which has been plaguing those travelling on this route. Locating a way into the nest begins a series of encounters with these insects who attempt to drag heroes into the dirt walls. The adventurers learn that the lair is very large and must leave before they have a chance to explore the full vicinity of the nest.
