The Myste-Hass Calender

13/02/2024

Pic and Belmach arrive at the docks. Pic is asked by a shipmaster to prove his skill at sewing a sail, but he doesn't get the job because he doesn't want to be off the land for more than two days.
A roughen guard approaches them as they make their way into the merchants area of the town. He says they are guards who are being paid to keep an eye on people.
They move off towards a gate. There are two orcs in a uniform on the wall. The orcs eventually suggest they head to the Moon and Stars Inn.
The group hassle Lazarus for some fruit, and he angrily makes some terrible porridge.
Pic and Cloudy try to make a new "Workers Wanted" for the Moon and Stars Inn. Cloudy offers himself as a cleaner.
Pic and Belmach are left in charge of the Moon and Stars Inn, Cloudy whistling away whilst he cleans.
Belmach drinks a shot of Phoenix Spirit and starts choking. He goes for a lie down. Three sailors come in and ask for an ale, then food.
At the Warehouse, the group speaks with the goblin, Unclax, who says he sees a lot of stuff through windows. Lahoto only wants to see Castiel. Lazarus and Harmony have to wait, watching heavy arms, ballista and crossbows being unloaded from carts.
Big Al's knuckles are bruised from recent use.
Castiel speaks with Lahoto. The magical orb is identified as a focus that will enhance power (+1 to spellcasting).
Lahoto makes it clear that we haven't been doing what is needed in the element of causing issues with the militia. He knows about the death of the militia guard and the fellow adventurer Bobby Big Eyes. So, he asks if the adventurers are still up to the task.
Instead, he offers a new job in the form of removing a noble. Claud is a nobleman who owes significant debt. He lives in the fifth house in the noble quarters with a bright red door. He sells specialised antique items. He has forty guards, who do seem loyal to him, but are paid. Lahoto suggests that the deed is done outside the city. The items need returning. Claud likes to go on walks along the coast - its a prime place for accidents.
Lahoto says that if were successful, then half the debt will be paid.
Lahoto pays Castiel for the brain of physionic prowess in the form of the illithid's severed head.
Pic finds some other bottles hastily hidden beneath the bar - Traffic Stop, Beholder, Dragon Milk and Ellysiam.
In the hour the others have gone, Pic makes a sky right that says drinks as much as one copper. They charge one silver for a three silver drink, and that elaves the establishment out of one-hundred and seventy gold of product debt.
Castiel and Harmony say that Pic and Belmach have to work for the owners of the Moon & Stars Inn until their debt is paid off.
The inn cleans out, and the doors are closed.
Bechmel and Cloudy head to scout out the coastal paths. They use a closed entrance in the curtain wall, picking the lock on the curtain wall. They follow the path, seeing that the cliff edge is steep to the water below. They discover the entrance to a mine. Gems glitter inside.
Harmony and Castiel head towards the noble area of the city. They are stopped by a city guard who asks their names and their business. He keeps the paper from their answers in a front pocket. Harmony takes note of the man.
The one with a bright red door is a smaller building amongst many large ones. There are two guards in blue uniforms outside who ask our business. The guard checks to see if the orb is magical, ensuring we're not wasting his time. It's Claud's day off, to spend time with his family.
There are about five guards out the front. The fence is six foot and more ornate than defensive. There are two people stood on the roof, on top of the three-story building.
The two men on the gate are wearing breastplates. They say he is a family man. He has two young children. He's a better employer than many. He pays decently.
Claud's butler leads us through a central area with a large staricase with a balcony above. There is a small office area on the right, with four chairs and a desk. The wine is served in crystal glasses.
Claud is a shorter gentlemen. He's wearing a silken hat, a red jacket and black pantaloons. His hands are adorned with rings.
Castiel says we found the item in an errant pack. He offers three-hundred gold, even after Harmony suggests that they are in substantial debt.
Claud pulls out a piece of parchment with a catalogue of items -

- A small golden ring that helps you jump better. - A silver ring with a blue stone. - A silver ring that is very transparent. - Ring with a shield emblem. - Bronze, copper ring with etchings on it. - Amulet - a black skull. - Rod with a skull on the top, with curved fangs and a skeletal hand wrapping around it.

None of the rings he's wearing seem to match.
The items he's trading currently seem to be coming from a place in the mountains near Myste-Hass.
Castiel suggests taking the man out on the path towards where we found the item. We agree to take him out at three o'clock the next day, with a small entourage of guards.
He offers to meet at the main gate. He will organise the paths. Today is his son's birthday, George.
Jeeves, the butler, indicates the house has three bedrooms, with many other rooms. The best room is the master bedroom - it has a beautiful view of the sea.
On returning to the city, Belmach and Cloudy are met with a guard who is enquires why they are using the secret gate.
