Once again, a group sets off to reach the tower in the centre of the North Woods. Rasvyn uses a knock spell which allows them to enter the tower. Inside they notice an unusual strum that pulsate through the building. Ascending the stairs, they face a couple of gargoyles. Once the creatures are defeated, they continue their exploration to find that this tower was devoted to the practices of Silma and appeared to be the home of some fertility rituals.

A group of guild members return to the North Woods to continue mapping. Visiting the logging camp, they learn that the loggers and Helvettian guards have been experiencing disturbing dreams. Some of the men had left their posts, drawn towards Silma’s Tower. Further investigation leads to a confrontation with a vrock which tries to carry several party members away. Nevertheless, Larc uses his magic to prevent the bird from taking off and Otogi beheads the creature, exposing the beast as a fiend. On heading back to town, the adventurers are assaulted by giant spiders.

Further exploration, and attempted mapping of the North Woods, reveals a rift that has opened up in the landscape. The adventurers make their way inside and discover an area that Genai Stones seem to have trapped between two seperate planes. Inside there are very unusual reptilian beasts, combat ensues. After making their way safely out, the party closes up the exit to prevent creatures escaping.
