- Arriving back in town, the man, raised on a crate, shouts out about Garr's angels. He is a human in ordinary clothes. There are a crowd of around sixty people listening to him.
- Corym shouts out, objecting to Garr's involvement. Reinhold says that we have higher priest of Garr. The cleric of Garr tells everyone to kneel and then come to Temple of Garr tonight, and worship will be held in a proper way.
- A shudder shakes the town, a small earthquake.
- Gartok questions the man, Lake Rone. He claims that his mother, Seraya, was ill, and as she passed on the creature arrived. They are from Equil originally. They spent time in the Tower of Dariss during the occupation.
- Dramos and Maolmhuire follows Lake to find his mother.
- The others head to the Temple of Imogen to find Til. Goraz confronts them as they move through the Market Place, asking if they could come to The Halls for a meeting with the Council of Myste-Hass.
