Adventurers set out to reach and explore further within the Tower of Dariss. However, on their journey, the group intercept a large bear-like creature attacking some civilians. The party attacks the beast before it retreats into the forest leaving a young woman crying over her fallen fiancé. Tension rises amongst the heroes as the woman insists on travelling with them into the dangers at the Tower of Dariss. The group attempts to change her mind and escort her to town, but she is unsettled and looking for danger, or even death. She claims to be a worshipper of Fate and within his hands. Eventually, Berticus escorts her back to Myste-Hass.
