C'anis acquires a doll called Betty from a peculiar man in town who pays the dragonborn to take the item. C'anis is later arrested when he returns to the salesman’s home to find him hanging, dead, from the rafters. Sten is unwell and being looked after by his sister. The heroes head deeper in The Crypts below the Temple of Garr and face several orcs and a cyclopes. Further on, a portal is accidentally opened, another demon is released - Throlti. Beticus turns her and she returns back through the portal.
