In search of Tilson’s lost statue, the group gather at The Mountain View Restaurant and then head to Zorvus', where she describes the statue and the rowdy group which had come in with Tilson. Moving on to The Weary Sailor, the owner confirms that the boys had the statue when they arrived. There is a man called Spayne offering games of shells which the group confer with and play in order to trade secrets about a gambling organisation which Tilson owed money too. At The Fox Hole, Brosey points the group in the direction of a man called Johnny who is in the special group of gamblers. Johnny leads the group out to The Den near The Swamp where peasants are being kicked into a pit with deadly snakes and the tenants are getting ‘sporred’ by weird mushroom creatures. Ahriman wanders off and gets attacked by the mushroom creatures. Kaelin is killed by armour animated by snake creatures, Victor carries her body out and delivers her body to the Temple Of Peridot in town.
