The hag, Bern, claims she can heal Gartok’s arm if she regains a powerful amulet she once gave away. In search of the item, a group travels to Anglan via Bern’s planeshift ability. Here they discover the people of Anglan continually fight against demons, and one of the soldiers, Tristan, takes a particular disliking to Dramosbecause of his tiefling heritage. The group successfully retrieve the amulet Bern requires but encounter a terrible demon. In order to plane shift away, they must abandon Tristan. Finally, Bern offers Gartok a choice – keep the curse and prevent a terrible calamity or remove the crystal and a friend will die. He has the Genai shards removed from his arm.
