It is believed that the stone fell to the world with her and littered the lands of Tempress.
These shards embedded themselves within the land, powering all arcane power. They form the ley lines and nexuses that line Tempress.
Many Genai Stone have been recovered and used for power. However, these stones are typically not the actual shards of the Genai from beyond the Divine Gate. Instead, these stones are different forms of crystal powered by the energy initially released by the fallen shards of the Genai.
When Genai Stones are used, the powered pieces of crystal and rock, they develop black lines along their surface. These lines increase with use until the stone is entirely black and all the power drained. Some individuals have found ways to recharge the stones with arcane, divine and blood magic.
